INVITATION TO TENDER FOR YEAR 2017 CAPITAL PROJECTS

Applications are hereby invited from reputable and interested contractors/consultants with relevant experience and good track record to tender for the under-listed Construction Project, Goods and Consultancy Services.

1.0 GOODS
LOT 1: Purchase of critical laboratory chemicals and reagents for chemical analysis of solid and energy minerals.

1.1 WORKS
LOT 2: Contract for the relocation of 33kva and 11kva high tension power lines at the Permanent site.

LOT 3: Renovation of dilapidated offices, lecture rooms, students hostels and other General Services structures located in the three campuses of the Institute.

LOT 4: Construction of mining engineering building at permanent site (phase II)

1.2 CONSULTANCY
LOT 5: Capacity Building

2.0 SCOPE OF WORKS
The scope of works and the specifications will be contained in the Standard Bidding Document (SBD) to be issued to bidders in respect of each project.

3.0 QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Interested and eligible contractors/consultants are required to meet the following criteria:
a) Evidence of Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) by inclusion of Certificate of Incorporation and Articles of Association.
b) Last 3 years (2014, 2015 & 2016) Tax Clearance Certificates.
c) Evidence of compliance with Pension Reform Act 2004 by inclusion of PENCOM Compliance Certificate.
d) Evidence of VAT Registration and remittances
e) Detailed company profile and organizational structure including Names and telephone numbers of key personnel (Technical/managerial).
f) Possession of experience as a prime contractor in at least five (5) projects of similar nature and complexity with verifiable letters of contract award and certificate of job completion within the last five (5) years (to comply with this requirement, works quoted should be at least 70% physically completed).
g) Evidence of Financial Capabilities/ Reference letter from a reputable Bank and statement of Account.
h) For Joint Venture include Memorandum of Understanding.
i) Having annual Auditors report for at least 3 years (2014, 2015 & 2016) statement of affairs for pioneer company.
j) Evidence of Compliance with Industrial Training Fund (ITF) Amendment Act 2011 by inclusion of Certificate of Compliance from Industrial training Fund.
k) Bidders should include 2% bid security from Contractors / Suppliers.
l) Evidence of Registration with the Bureau of Public Procurement National Database of Federal Contractors, Consultants and Service Providers.

Interested companies are to obtain Tender/Bid documents from the Procurement Unit of the Institute on presentation of non-refundable Tender processing fee receipt of N20, 000.00 per Lot.

Only the submissions which fulfill the requirements stated above will be considered.

3.0 SUBMISSION
Technical and Financial documents should be packaged in separate envelopes identifying the contents as either Technical or Financial documents, sealed and addressed to:
The Director/CEO
Nigerian Institute of Mining and Geosciences,
No.1 Metropolitan Avenue Tundun-Wada, Jos, Plateau State.

The two envelopes are to be put in a bigger envelope addressed also as above and clearly list the contents. Submissions are to be deposited in the Tender Box provided in the Procurement Unit at Office of the Director/ CEO on or before October, 2nd 2017.

Tenders/ Bidders are also to note that wrong packaging or labeling will result in disqualification. The Tender/Bid opening event is open interested members of the public.

NB: This advertisement shall not be constructed to be commitment on the part of NIMG nor shall it enter any bidder to make any claim(s) whatsoever and seek indemnity from NIMG by virtue of that bidder having responded to this advertisement.
