REQUEST FOR APPLICATIONS OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SERVICE PROVIDERS
Mafita is a six-year DFID-funded program implemented by Adam Smith International. Mafita seks to facilitate 68,000 marginalized young people (aged 15 – 24) to find full-time employment or self-employment by 2021 in its focal states of Kano, Kaduna and Jigawa. This will be achieved through the strengthening and formalization of vocational skills training provision, local market system support and capacity building of relevant stakeholders.
These interventions will provide marginalized youths such as Almajirai, young women, Early School Leavers, Orphans and Vulnerable Children and People with Disabilities, a way out of poverty and into sustainable livelihoods through increased incomes, reduced levels of marginalization and increased social cohesion.
Mafita currently has 59 partner Business Development Service Providers (BDSPs) across its focal states. Mafita has received an understanding with Sterling Bank to develop and implement alternative financial products that would meet the specific requirements of existing MSEs and startups and a performance-based payment incentive for successful BDSPs.
Under this agreement, Mafita agreed to pay a 10% incentive of the loan amount required (respectively of contract value) to BDSPs on successful delivery/facilitation of A2F and capital deployment transaction. In this regard, prospective individual or corporate BDSPs are hereby invited to submit their applications.
