This invitation follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this project that appeared in two national dailies on the 15th March, 2012, UNDB online AfDB84-818/12, Issue No. 818 of 16th March, 2012 and other African Development Group’s internet website.
The Federal Government of Nigeria on behalf of Kaduna State has received financing from the African Development Bank towards the cost of the Zaria Water Supply Expansion and Sanitation Project, and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this loan to payments under the contract for Technical Assistance for Design & Implementation of Billing System and Customer GIS/Mapping.
The services under this project are Design & Implementation of Billing System and Customer GIS/Mapping which includes establishing a standard, reliable billing and accounting Centres, supply and installation of billing software. A collaboration with Kaduna State Water Corporation (KADSWAC) to establish customer GIS/Mapping that will provide accurate geo reference for proper monitoring, operation and maintenance planning.
The assignment is divided into 2 parts as follows:
1. Design and Implementation of Billing System Software including provision of suitable hardware specification
2. Customer GIS/Mapping that will capture all service connections including distribution and transmission mains. Also to be mapped are the nine treatment plants
The Executive Agency is Kaduna State Water Corporation and the Implementation period is 6 months.
The Kaduna State Water Corporation now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may constitute Joint Ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.
Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s “Rules and Procedures for the use of Consultants” December 2017 which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org. Borrowers are under no obligation to shortlist any consultant who expresses interest.
